Arens
Consulting
is an educational based consulting service focused on literacy. Amanda
Arens holds a masters degree in education and works nationally and
internationally with school districts. Her work includes training
teachers, demonstrating lessons, aligning curriculum, planning lessons,
mapping
curriculum and facilitating books studies. Her work is tailored to the
needs of the district in which she is working.
Mrs. Arens is an expert
on the Four-Blocks® Literacy Model and has co-authored with
Dr. Dorothy P. Hall,
Dr. Patricia M. Cunningham
and
Dr. Karen Loman
on the subject. Currently, she has published seven
books on
the Four-Blocks® Literacy Model:

Her national speaking engagements and consulting include a wide variety of
venues on many different topics.
She offers, among other
services, strategy planning and implementation with
teachers, large/whole group in-services, model lessons in classrooms, lesson
observation in classrooms with one-on-one feedback, and district wide strategy
planning and implementation.
Mrs. Arens' ability to adapt to any situation and help create solutions that
foster learning for both students and teachers is evident in her ongoing work
with several districts. In addition to a wide range of literacy work, much of
Amanda’s work centers on the
Four-Block® Literacy Framework.
